About Our Library
Our Librarian is Ms. Williams - email Ms. Williams
Our Library Assistant is Mrs. Cole - email Mrs.Cole
Our library is a great place to be. We serve over 600 students from three-year-old Montessori Kindergarten through 5th grade. To provide extended access to our facility and our resources, we open at 7:00 and close at 3:00. In addition to visiting throughout the day for check-out and research purposes, students may come before school, from classes, and during lunch with a pass. The library has sixteen computers for student use as well as several iPads.
Our collection of over 20,000 items includes books, ebooks, and magazines, as well as professional books and videos for teachers. Users can find items by using our Destiny online catalog. Our patrons, both students and teachers, continue to help us maintain the quality of our collection by giving us suggestions for titles to add to our holdings. If you are looking for resources and links, please check the library catalog. In addition to SCDISCUS, Todd students have access to Book Flix and True Flix.
The maker space offers students the ability to have access to an array of materials that can be used to complete school projects, participate in design challenges, or experiment with new creations. Students may use the maker space at any time with a pass from their teacher or in the morning before school. Design challenges and contests are held periodically.
Our books can be checked out for a period of three weeks. We do not charge fines for overdue materials; however you may not have more than two materials checked out at a time if one is overdue or lost.
Guidelines about rules and expectations for library usage, Internet Safety, etc. are shared with all students during library orientation at the beginning of the school year, and displayed within the library.
