One of District 7’s four key priority areas is the well-being of our students and staff. Over the last two years, we have focused on providing professional development for teachers and staff on a wide variety of related topics in order to increase our collective ability to support student needs, as well as the needs of one another. We are also committed to keeping parents informed of the resources available within and beyond our schools, which can serve not only students but also their families.
Please take a few minutes to watch the above video narrated by Nicole Thompson, Executive Director of Student Services, about D7’s approach to student well-being and the resources available to serve them. The contributions of school counselors, mental health professionals and other partners within our schools are more important now than ever before.
